Stitch & Mechanics

In 2012, Stitch and Mechanics was founded – a brand uniquely dedicated to premium manufacturing in New York City. Our mission: to create denim jeans that reflects the quality, taste, and history of garment manufacturing in this city. We have incorporated many years of experience and know-how together with an influence of modern style, cut and fit creating the perfect pair of premium denim jeans.

In 2014, the City of New York represented by the NYCEDC (New York City Economic Development Corporation) along with the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers Association) nominated Stitch & Mechanics’ parent factory High Productions, Inc. as 1 of 7 inaugural winners of the 1st round FMI Grant (Fashion Manufacturing Initiative). This program aims to boost our city’s fashion manufacturing capacity while supporting the businesses that drive the industry—both of which are vital to maintaining the city’s status as a global fashion capital.

With over 3 decades history developing and producing for so many of the city’s distinguished designers, it is this very premise that sets us apart from every other organization in the world. We are a class of elite “makers” and it is our passion and the city that we represent that makes us the one and only truly organic “Made in New York” brand.
